Step 1: Test for Fit
As we all know, specs can change frequently on a job site. The good news is that Warm Waves In Floor Heating Systems can be cut to fit on the job site if the specs change. This is a significant advantage over other radiant heat systems.
When you receive your Warm Waves In Floor Heating System, lay it out on the floor according to the layout we provide for you and test for fit. If it doesn’t fit perfectly, use the provided scissors to cut the length, and cover the cut end with provided End Tape.
Step 2: Prepare the Floor Surface
Warm Waves In Floor Heating Systems may be used underneath virtually any floor surface, with the exception of hardwood flooring that must be nailed into place. Stone, tile, snap-in hardwood flooring, laminate flooring or carpeting are all options.
If Warm Waves is to be applied on a concrete base, a thermal break layer such as Cerazorb should be applied on top of the concrete, followed by other layers. See the diagrams for details.
Step 3: Install Warm Waves
Lay out your Warm Waves In Floor Heating System on top of the prepared subfloor surface according to the layout provided, making sure to place the wiring close to the electrical supply. It doesn’t matter which side of the mat is up or down. Be sure to provide a 6 inch buffer from the walls. Cabinets and appliances should never be installed on top of your Warm Waves In Floor Heating system.
Step 4: Connect to Power
Warm Waves offers a 10-year limited warranty for installations performed in accordance with the installation instructions.
